Welcome to Pleezr, operated by Pleezr Inc (“Pleezr”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Pleezr is a global compatibility-based dating and social platform. To deliver our core matching experience, we process certain personal data — including sensitive information about your preferences and compatibility. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and what rights you have.
By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where we rely on consent, we will ask for it separately and explicitly.

3. Eligibility & Age Verification
Pleezr is strictly for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
Measures we use:
- Date of birth is required at onboarding. Accounts declaring an age below 18 are blocked from registration.
- Phone number verification adds an additional layer of identity confirmation.
- Our moderation systems actively monitor for signals of underage use, including user reports.
- Accounts reasonably suspected of belonging to a minor are immediately suspended and permanently deleted along with all associated data.
If you believe a user may be a minor, please report them immediately using the in-app reporting tool.
4. Data We Collect

4.3 Sensitive Data
Important: The following data is considered sensitive under applicable law. We process it only with your explicit, freely given, and informed consent, collected via a dedicated, non-pre-checked consent screen during onboarding.
- Sexual orientation and dating preferences
- Behavioral compatibility indicators derived from your 25-question compatibility test
- Inferred personality and relational traits based on your responses
Without this consent, Pleezr cannot provide its core matchmaking features. You may withdraw this consent at any time from your account settings, which may limit app functionality.
4.4 Behavioral & Matching Data
- In-app interactions (likes, passes, messages initiated)
- Compatibility scores and test results
- Profile engagement and activity signals
This includes data we infer about you based on your interactions, behavior, and test results (“Inferred Data”).
4.5 Location Data
- Approximate location (city-level) — for match radius
- Precise location — only when the app is in use and permission is granted
You may disable location access at any time in your device settings.

Payments are processed exclusively by Apple App Store and Google Play. Pleezr does not store full payment card details.

6. Automated Decision-Making & Profiling
Pleezr uses automated systems to power its core features:
- Compatibility scoring — based on your 25-question test responses
- Match recommendations — algorithmic suggestions based on behavioral and preference signals
- Safety moderation — automated detection of policy violations
The compatibility score is a matching tool only. It is not used to exclude users from the platform or to make any legally significant decision about them. This processing does not produce legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
You have the right to:
- Request human review of any decision affecting your account
- Express your point of view on how the system works
- Contest outcomes that seem incorrect

7. International Data Protection
Pleezr processes personal data globally on the basis of consent, contract, and legitimate interests as described in this Policy.
Pleezr is a US-based early-stage company. The EEA, UK, and Switzerland are not priority markets at this stage. We do not currently have a designated EU representative under GDPR Art. 27. Users in these regions may direct all data protection inquiries to contact@pleezr.me.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising without user consent where required by law.

All processors are bound by Data Processing Agreements requiring them to process data only on our documented instructions.
Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable data protection laws. Users will be notified of any such transfer where required by law.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your own.
Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Data Processing Agreements with all third-party processors.
For Indian users: Transfers outside India are carried out in accordance with the DPDP Act 2023. Contact our Grievance Officer at contact@pleezr.me with subject line “Grievance India” for any questions regarding cross-border transfers.

12. US Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA & State Laws)
If you reside in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Iowa, Nebraska, or Delaware, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
- Access your personal information
- Delete your personal information (subject to exceptions)
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Non-discrimination — exercising your rights will never result in different service levels or pricing
- Appeal — if we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing contact@pleezr.me with subject line “Privacy Request Appeal”. If unsatisfied, you may contact your state’s Attorney General.
Pleezr does not sell personal information. Some data sharing with advertising partners (§16) may qualify as “sharing” under CCPA/CPRA. You may opt out at any time via contact@pleezr.me.
Response timelines:
- California (CCPA/CPRA): 45 days, extendable by a further 45 days with notice
- Other US states: as required under applicable state law
13. India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023
Pleezr Inc acts as the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed in connection with users located in India.
Your rights as an Indian user:
- Access — request a summary of personal data processed and the purposes
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements
- Withdraw Consent — at any time; does not affect prior processing; may limit app functionality
- Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity
- Grievance Redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer
Notice at collection: At the point of data collection, Pleezr provides clear notice of the categories of data collected, the purposes of processing, and your rights as a Data Principal.
Cross-border transfers: Transfers outside India are carried out in accordance with the DPDP Act 2023 and applicable government notifications.
Language: Upon request, Pleezr will make reasonable efforts to provide a summary of this Policy in a local Indian language.

14. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Access controls and authentication requirements for internal systems
- Infrastructure managed through AWS with industry-standard security configurations
- Regular security reviews and incident response procedures

15. Account Deletion
You may delete your Pleezr account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account.
Upon deletion:
- Your profile, matches, and messages will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days
- Certain data (fraud logs, legal holds, consent records) may be retained per §10
Important — Subscriptions: Deleting your Pleezr account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Cancel separately via:
- Apple App Store: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Google Play: Play Store > Account > Subscriptions
16. Tracking, Analytics & Advertising
Pleezr uses tracking technologies for analytics, performance measurement, and advertising purposes.

These technologies may collect device identifiers, app interactions, and attribution and campaign data.
Advertising & Attribution: Pleezr shares limited data with advertising partners to measure campaign performance, attribute installs and conversions, and optimize acquisition strategies. We do not sell personal data, but some data sharing with advertising partners may qualify as “sharing” under applicable laws including CCPA/CPRA.
User Controls:
- Users may exercise their right to opt out of data sharing for advertising purposes at any time by contacting contact@pleezr.me
- On iOS, tracking is subject to App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — we request your permission before any applicable tracking
- You may change tracking preferences at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
Cookies: Our mobile app does not use browser cookies. If a web interface is made available, a separate Cookie Policy will apply at that time.
17. Children’s Privacy
Pleezr is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately delete it and all associated data. To report a suspected minor: contact@pleezr.me
18. Changes to This Policy
- Minor changes (wording, clarifications): we update the “Last updated” date
- Material changes (new data uses, new third parties, new jurisdictions): we notify you via in-app notification and/or email, and where required by law, request updated consent before changes take effect
